veterans the resources, education and training necessary to obtain

a marketable career, provide benevolent services, and information

access to veteran resources.

VetIT's goal is to network and collaborate with organizations that

both need and can provide IT Training.


The transition from a military career to civilian life can be a challenge and choosing the right training can aide in successful career. One great option is training in Information Technology (IT).

Simply defined IT is the study or use of systems (especially computers and telecommunications) for storing, retrieving, and sending information. We need information technology in today's world to establish faster communication, maintain electronic storage and provide protection to records. In a simple way, IT makes a system of electronic storage to provide protection to a company's records.   (

Military veterans make great candidates in IT as they tend to be competent, exercise initiative, apply critical and creative thinking, are adaptable, flexible, self-confident, cooperative, reflective, and communicate effectively.
